I would love to share my interests/talents with a like minded group that goes to work when society says it cant be done. I have walked over a millions acres of organic and commercial acres of dirt/soils and have helped farmers use what society says is waste products and turned it into foods for the new soils and its life sustaining cycle of life under our feet. I have created systems for converting lands and businesses into certified organic operations . Managed crops and livestock nutrition programs and grown crops of all types for food and feed. I live in Berthoud and my family farms in Boulder county where they live. I would welcome sharing and working on projects that helps to make families self reliant and care takers of this worlds soils one square inch at a time and a cup of water as well. Lets dance in the rain and create and be givers of a balanced way of life that can be for generations. But we need to start teaching now!
Our family has over 200 acres that belongs to my daughter and her husband. I am the soil tender, the composter, the planter, the feed of beef cattle and the nursery dad in the birthing capacity and tend to the veggie crops. They also lease some land from Boulder county which is being transitioned into organic crop land for hays and grasses.
Smiles, well wishes, dirty hands, a moment of Ah Ha and a welcomed, "Thank you for sharing and caring. Actions do speak louder and clearer then words any day, so an afternoon of sunshine and pulling weeds is medicine to the soul. Got any weeds I can pull?”

A recent transplant to Fort Collins, Beau began his farming trajectory through WWOOF in Quebec back in 2010. He moved to Montana shortly thereafter to take a farm apprenticeship in the Bitterroot Valley. The following season, Beau served as the PEAS (Program in Ecological Agriculture and Society) Farm Caretaker for the Missoula-based non-profit Garden City Harvest. During a two-year stint in Maine, he worked for a number of farms in various capacities and trained as a MOFGA (Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association) Journeyperson. He also briefly worked for Johnny's Selected Seeds. Beau returned to Montana in 2015 and started a neighborhood-based micro-farm on less than an acre, experimenting with companion planting, pollinator "engines" and yield potential. Grad School and work in public radio sidelined Beau from farming for the last few years (except for some farmer's market moonlighting and the occasional gig as a contract weeder), but his ultimate goals and principles remain based in small-scale, diversified vegetable production and food security. He is eager to get involved with LCFA.
Behind farming, there's a few other things in life that bring me absolute joy: cooking, riding a bicycle (yay Fort Collins!) and digging through used records.

Kitchen Sink Fermentation Collaborative
240-863-1666
David and his partner, Allison, and three dogs have lived in Colorado for almost ten years. Arriving here a few years after graduating college at East Tennessee State University via Washington D.C, David spent most of his developmental years in a small rural town in Southeast Tennessee bordering Asheville, North Carolina. He spent weekends up the holler on the family farm where his great-grandfather farmed 10 acres of diverse vegetables with his old mare and plow. David remembers learning the lessons of chickens, plants and snake dogs at an early age, as well as the distinct smell of hard work his Papaw Willie always embraced. His great- grandmother, Ollie, lived with him from the age of five until her passing when he was thirteen. He relishes in the wisdom and memories of picking maters, breaking beans, preserving food, cuddling with a hand sewn quilt, and eating the soup beans and cornbread she always had cooking on the stove. The stories and songs of his rich cultural heritage steeped in growing has led him back to agriculture and the natural world after detouring through the construction and engineering world. Most recently, he interned for Monroe Organic Farms in Kersey, which he has been a working member and northern Colorado delivery person for the past five seasons. DT ultimately believes we are all capable of healing ourselves and our world by working with complex soil microbes and mycelium structure (and a lot of love) to create nutrient-dense food and fermented products. Outside of agriculture and reducing food waste through fermentation, he enjoys trail running and hiking with his dogs and Allison, tending to the backyard flock of hens, playing the dulcimer, growing heritage vegetables, and serving in a leadership role with the Larimer County Farmers Alliance.
Kitchen SInk Ferments started on a local organic CSA farm as interns. Fermenters DT (David Taylor) and Mike P (Michael Paladino) lived together behind the barn in humble quarters, working the field by day and fermenting gleaned veggies and what some would consider compost under Mike’s kitchen sink by night.
So, the idea of Kitchen Sink Fermentation Collaborative was born! Seeing the surplus of vegetables returning from the farmers’ market , those left over from weekly CSA distribution, and the ones left behind in the field, the Kitchen Sink guys wanted to take action by transforming what could be waste into tasty and nutrient-dense fermented foods that aid the gut and spirit. What began as a season of experimentation under Mike’s sink has now become an opportunity to create a positive shift in our world by sharing the fermentation creations with you.

Bonnie Farm
I should have been born on a farm, but I got there as quick as I could! Ever since graduating high school rather many decades ago, I have been working/volunteering on small family and sustainable farms and volunteering with veterinarians. My primary focus, and greatest interest, has always been on the animal husbandry side of things. I have milked cows and goats, raised hogs and cattle, worked with llamas and sheep, and have been around poultry of all sorts. Professionally, I am a retired RN and Family Nurse Practitioner, and I have a degree in Biology, focusing on Animal Behavior.
I have a 3.3 acre homestead farm in NE Fort Collins, and I have been here for 8 years now. I live in a small 1885 farmhouse, on the remnants of an 160-acre farm, granted under the Homestead Act in 1874. I have various heirloom breeds of chickens, turkeys, geese, ducks and sheep. I also have 4 llamas for fiber, packing and guarding. I have carefully chosen animal varieties that work well on a homestead farm like this. I have a partnership with a market gadener who grows produce in my large garden, and we have a Friday Farmstand here during the growing season.

We are a multi-generational urban farm located in foothills of the Rocky Mountains here in Fort Collins, CO (aka FoCO)! That's right, we grow delicious superfoods in our home basement year round. We are committed to only sourcing non-GMO seed, and we never use any pesticides or synthetics on our microgreens! Ever! We believe in farming with organic practices from the living soil for uncompromising flavor. We have a passion for the next generation and the environment. We do everything we can to be a Green Company by reducing, reusing, and recycling. Our clam-shell containers are 100% plant based and can be composted in a commercial composting facility in 3-4 months time. Our root masses from the microgreens are then fed to our worms for vermicompost to be used in other gardens as fertilizer, making our farm sustainable with a closed loop system.
We are passionate about organic, non-GMO superfoods and we are excited to share that with our community!

Aijalon Farms (future name) / Currently fundraising to develop the land
I am a Beginner Farmer learning how to create a non-profit farm and education center on my family's land. It is slightly less than an acre but we would like to develop it into a learning farm for people with disabilities and food justice for marginalized populations, especially the indigenous communities. We are interested in using permaculture and regenerative agriculture practices along with renewable energies or off grid options. We would like to create a food hub in a 'food desert' near Stout and Horsetooth Reservoir. I am currently a graduate student attending Naropa University and active in advocacy work with various government agencies and farming organizations like Colorado Department of Human Services Family Voice Council, Rocky Mountain Farmers Union, Mile High Farmers, Colorado Renewable Energy Society and Denver Producers group along with the Denver Permaculture Guild. I am active in my local community food systems initiatives during COVID-19 and collaborating with CSU and Colorado Food Systems Advisory Council. I am looking to make connections to build community in my farming networks.
Our land is a little less than an acre in Larimer County. It is located near the southern most tip of Horsetooth Reservoir and near the town of Stout. Our crop will be greens and mushrooms later expanding to flowers and bees for honey along with indigenous plants for landscaping and medicinal purposes.
We bring a lot of indigenous practices into our growing, we believe in giving gratitude and respect to the land as it gives us sustenance and so much more. We acknowledge that the land we farm on is stolen land and that in some we want to pay reparations to the First Nations that inherited the land before us. We encourage healing and living in commune with nature and the earth. Some of our ways may different than the normal agricultural practices so we ask for open hearts and open minds when we practice living with the land.

We are a small market farm that specializes in garlic and value-added garlic products such as garlic powder and herbed garlic salts. Previous to specializing in garlic, we grew a wide variety of market produce and still continue to grow most of the produce we eat. We also consider ourselves "homesteaders" working continually to become more self sufficient. We keep backyard poultry, we can, dehydrate, and ferment food for storage, and collaborate with other small farms to supply ourselves with food we don't produce on site.
We live on a acre and a half and produce all of our garlic as well as produce for ourselves on this space. Garlic is our specialty and we grow between 4,000 and 8,000 heads annually.

LaLa Gardens - (970) 567-9890
I'm continuing a 30-year journey toward self-sufficiency, which lead me to off-grid, homesteading. In 2019, I quit my job of 15 years, divested myself of the useless "stuff" I'd collected over the years, and I've been trading work for homesteading experience since that time. I'm trained in Natural Farming techniques by Chris Trump and Tina Trout. I found an ideal situation for my needs, with LaLa Gardens, in January 2020.
Currently active on one acre, domonstration homestead, North of Terry Lake, built upon permaculture, natural farming, biomimicry, various crops.

Hello! I am excited to connect, learn and grow with all of you. I have a big love for this planet that we live on and look forward to growing in this community!
A little about me // I grew up working on cattle, horse and hay farms in the Midwest. My interest in land management and preservation began in college when I did research under an entomologist who studied Midwest crop pests. I continued work after college in marine life conservation- studying humpback whales with the The Whale Center of New England and then interning with the National Park Service at Cape Lookout Seashore where I got a taste of politics and land management issues- specifically with the free ranging horses on North Carolina's Shackleford Banks. I switched gears after that and began my studies in yoga, cooking and healthy living where I spent three months on a bio-dynamic farm in Ecuador. While my experience in organic vegetable production is small, my passion for well-being and contributing to the health of our planet has led me to care deeply about healing/regenerating our land, bodies and food system. I am committed to learning and would love to share in any way I can. I have experience in the kitchen brewing kombucha, quick pickling, dehydrating fruit and international cuisine. I am always looking for new ways to cook or eat a vegetable. Food is the sustenance of life and cooking is both an art and daily ritual for me! This is a very exciting year for me as I join the team at Native Hill Farm. I look forward to a future in local, organic food production!
Currently, I am a backyard gardener and this will be my first year working in production on a bigger scale.

I grew up an eastern Nebraska farm kid in the 1960's. We were an organic, diversified farm before we knew that it was cool. It was simply the way my dad did things, learning from his father and homesteading grandmother. My career took me to many far off places, but I never lost my connection to the land and what it means to grow good and healthy food. When my now husband and I moved to NoCo several years ago we found a little acre near LaPorte. I am not yet retired but wanted to put down new roots in a community that supports young farmers. I look around and am thrilled with what I see. I also recognize that it is very hard work.
I own my own consulting company, focused on small business and not for profit organizations. I work with President owners making strategic change - growing their business, changing their product mix, reaching into new markets. . I listen, I support, I guide, I coach. I am a teacher at heart and have learned how to listen and draw out people as they work through what is next for their business. My experience is that most entrepreneurs have the answers within their own heart, mind and soul. Often, they simply need someone to listen and help them sort through their own thinking.
I am also comfortable in front of people and had considerable experience in adult education and development.
I am here because I wish to serve. I see the talent of the young farming community growing in NoCo. I am grateful for the vision these young people have and want to provide whatever support I am able to at this time in my life and career.

Historic Cherry Mill Farm
My partner BT Huntley and I became the latest stewards of the historic Cherry Mill property 6 years ago. We currently operate a medium-sized garden plot (~40x60 feet), with the aim to grow and preserve (we can, freeze, dry) a large proportion of our yearly vegetable needs....lots of tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, onions, brassicas, green beans, etc. We have room to expand and plan to expand as we get our water situation figured out. Although we grow produce essentially just for us, we do sell vegetable seedlings ("starts") in the spring, and have been doing so for longer than we've been here. We have approx. 5 acres of good arable ground, much of it currently in decent smooth brome pasture, on which we raised a couple of beef steers 3 years ago. We raise 4 dozen "head" of poultry and sell eggs. In the late 1980s to 1991, I co-owned one of the first certified organic farms in fort Collins: Inch By Inch Vegetables and Bellwether Farms. We had 5 acres of production in annual veggies, and 1/4 acre "under glass" for year-round production of culinary herbs. I have a BS degree in soil science and an MS in ecology, both from CSU. We have a small home-made hoop-house, and have tentative plans to construct a small "production-level" greenhouse. I am a former beekeeper, currently have no working hives, but have equipment for at least 8 hives. We are open to discussing learning and possible "cooperative employment" opportunities with anyone who might want to help us here develop various aspects of our farm, particularly with respect to : improving our well and irrigation systems; developing bee hives, establishing a hop-growing operation, establishing larger-scales (e.g. 1/2 - 1 acre) vegetable production.
Currently at Historic Cherry Mill Farm, 200 Gregory Rd, Fort Collins, CO 80524. Northeast corner of HWY 1 (Terry Lake Rd.) and Gregory Rd. 6.25 acres including buildings.

I graduated from CSU May 2019 with a degree in landscape architecture. This program led me to focus on urban agriculture, and eventually to research energy efficient specialty crop growing systems. In the fall I will be going back to the grad program at CSU to study horticulture and ecology. I plan to research net-zero growing systems (open-field, high tunnel, greenhouse) by incorporating solar energy, geothermal and thermal mass components into the design.
I am a gardener moving towards homesteading in the Old Town neighborhood. I hope to turn the neighborhood into a food forest one vacant / underutilized plot at a time. I have only been growing in Fort Collins for 4 seasons so I am open to all tips and suggestions. Currently gardening / homesteading in the Old Town neighboirhood (Loomis/Laporte). We have 3 chickens and a small vegetable plot. With permission, we are starting to convert our neighbors underutilized plots to crop production.

I've been farming here in Fort Collins for 10 years. About 5 years ago I lost a longtime job and decided to make a go of the farm full time. We raise dairy goats and fiber sheep and I create value added products like goat milk soap and hand spun yarn with their materials. In addition to making products to sell we offer heritage skills classes like soap and lotion making, spinning and fiber arts, botanical dyeing and goat keeping. It is such a pleasure to share our farming experience with others! Ours is a teaching farm so our focus is to share the experience and skills we have with others. We raise small herds of goats and sheep for the purpose of their milk and fiber. Sometimes we have young animals available in the spring but our focus is really on value added products and teaching skills to other small farmers.

Hi my name is Bryce, I've lived on the front range most of my life. I have been an active practicing veggie grower for over 30 years now. In 2015 I went professional and started H.U.G.S. LLC while finishing my education at CSU. H.U.G.S. was born out of the concept that a home garden can produce far more than what the household can consume in a season but the home owner is often to busy with life to hit their gardens full potential. Thus I figured, why not co-op a group of like mined homeowners together, give them the support they need to get the potential yield from their yards and sell the excess at local markets or fill in for other community needs (a.k.a. Fort Collins Mission and Food Bank). H.U.G.S. is not a certifiable organic producer but does adhere to organic and permaculture practices. Using only natural fertilizers and low impact integrated pest management techniques. H.U.G.S. LLC grows in 8 northern Fort Collins locations, most are backyards but one is a vacant lot and a few victory gardens on small acreage farms. Generally a jack of all trades but master of none; specialty food crops, fruit, veggies flowers, soil care, composting I've dabbled in all.
