I run a small livestock farm in Berthoud, Colorado. I love to learn from others how to better manage my farm and my livestock. I am also passionate about making land and water available for agriculture, especially encouraging new farmers and small farmers. I've been farming here in Fort Collins for 10 years. About 5 years ago I lost a longtime job and decided to make a go of the farm full time. We raise dairy goats and fiber sheep and I create value added products like goat milk soap and hand spun yarn with their materials. In addition to making products to sell we offer heritage skills classes like soap and lotion making, spinning and fiber arts, botanical dyeing and goat keeping. It is such a pleasure to share our farming experience with others! Ours is a teaching farm so our focus is to share the experience and skills we have with others. We raise small herds of goats and sheep for the purpose of their milk and fiber. Sometimes we have young animals available in the spring but our focus is really on value added products and teaching skills to other small farmers.

Hi my name is Bryce, I've lived on the front range most of my life. I have been an active practicing veggie grower for over 30 years now. In 2015 I went professional and started H.U.G.S. LLC while finishing my education at CSU. H.U.G.S. was born out of the concept that a home garden can produce far more than what the household can consume in a season but the home owner is often to busy with life to hit their gardens full potential. Thus I figured, why not co-op a group of like mined homeowners together, give them the support they need to get the potential yield from their yards and sell the excess at local markets or fill in for other community needs (a.k.a. Fort Collins Mission and Food Bank). H.U.G.S. is not a certifiable organic producer but does adhere to organic and permaculture practices. Using only natural fertilizers and low impact integrated pest management techniques. H.U.G.S. LLC grows in 8 northern Fort Collins locations, most are backyards but one is a vacant lot and a few victory gardens on small acreage farms. Generally a jack of all trades but master of none; specialty food crops, fruit, veggies flowers, soil care, composting I've dabbled in all.

I own and publish a local food magazine called Edible Denver/Boulder/Ft. Collins. Prior to the magazine, I worked for an all-natural meat company. I've always been passionate about how and where our food is raised. While the magazine covers a large portion of the Front Range, my husband and I live in Fort Collins. Alex Zeidner has been farming in Northern Colorado since the age of 16 with a summer job on a diversified veggie and berry farm. After attending the University of Colorado he pursued farming professionally on scales ranging from a 3/4 high end cut flower to 400 acre vegetable operations. He is passionate about growing great food, saving seeds, and building soil.
Folks Farm and Seed celebrates and mainly grow regionally adapted vegetable and seed crops. We do this to increase genetic diversity, community resilience, and lower inputs such as water. We currently farm on one acre.

I BEGAN VEGETABLE FARMING AND FRUIT HARVESTING IN PHOENIX. I THEN MOVED BACK TO COLORADO TO STUDY SOIL AND CROP SCIENCES AT CSU. WHILE IN-BETWEEN SEMESTERS I MAINTAINED AN ORCHARD, VEGETABLE FARMED AND WORKED ON A PASTURE LIVESTOCK OPERATION. ONCE I LEFT SCHOOL I BEGAN WORKING ON A LARGE SCALE GRAINS OPERATION AND NOW I AM OFF ON MY OWN. I LOVE TO FIX AND BUILD THINGS, HAVE BIG IDEAS, AND HELP OTHERS IN THE WORLD OF FARMING SUCCEED.
